Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory
  • Verify piece by ensuring manufacturer carton label matches delivery documents
  • Remove furniture from packaging of cardboard and other packaging (Deluxe)
  • Sort & stage packaging for recycling station
  • Stage and inspect all furniture to DC guidelines for final inspection
  • Verify all parts/pieces are present
  • Inspect furniture closely noting any blemishes with marking tape
  • Disposition returned merchandise after inspection
  • Unload and Load trailers using a dock truck and manually
  • Maintain a clear and neat work station throughout the workday
  • Perform any end of day clean up or additional tasks as the workload requires
  • Works cooperatively with others
  • Observes all WSI safety and company rules/regulations in the performance of duties
  • Must be able to list or carry heavy objects up to 75 lbs with or without accommodation and can push/pull up to 500 lbs with assistance or accommodation.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Skills Required:

  • Excellent attendance and willingness to be part of a team-performing whatever duties are necessary
  • Job requires continuous physical exertion-walking/bending/standing/climbing-must be able to lift 65 lbs minimum
  • Excellent PKMS (or equivalent WMS) knowledge including hand held, truck mount, and desk top Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary
  • Ability to multitask and be extremely detailed while performing al' tasks and reports Positive attitude, strong work ethic, ability to work under pressure and be a fast learner
  • Forklift certification preferred
