Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The  maintenance technician will perform daily mechanical repairs to sewing machines, Gerber automated cutting machines and Eton and maintain a preventive maintenance program for all related production equipment.

 

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

  • Monitor, maintain and perform standard repairs and maintenance of production equipment to include component replacement, needle bar replacement, adjustment of timing, replacement of circuit boards, trouble-shooting electrical issues, replacement of photo-eyes, replacement of belts and other general maintenance duties as assigned

  • Assess and resolve a wide array of maintenance issues on-site.

  • Perform preventative maintenance on company owned tools and equipment.

  • Read, interpret, and implement work orders and schedule.

  • Acquire materials needed to complete repairs/work orders.

  • Document equipment requirements and maintain appropriate records of work performed.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience working in a general maintenance and sewing machine repair.

  • High School Diploma (or vocational school or equivalent knowledge gained through formal education, specialized training, or additional job experience)

  • Knowledge of basic hand and power tools.

  • Thorough knowledge and experience to safely operate a wide array of hand, power tools, automated cutting machine, and production sewing machines.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently, with flexibility, and self-reliance.

  • Ability to perform under pressure, with strong organizational and time management skills.
