Description

Primary Job Function/Duties

  1. primary role of this position is to support the design and development of new upholstery collections. Key responsibilities include supporting merchandising and product development from concept to launch at Sutter Manufacturing.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for gathering product specification for all new collections

  • Create “Seasonal Product Launch Deck” to distribute to manufacturing leadership

  • Responsible for tracking and documenting the development of new collections
  • Updating Product Development Master Tracker
  • Participate in all Product Development brand Calls
  • Provide brands with product information (dimensions, weight, construction details, materiality & photography)

  • Manage and track cut request issued to factory
  • Check and manage status of all Product Development first samples
  • Coordinate all new product PR & photo samples with manufacturing and Product Development

  • Coordinate, process and match all COM (Customer’s Own Material)

  • Responsible for securing freight quotes, scheduling, shipping, and tracking all samples to brands

  • Coordinate strategic meetings, brand meeting, department meeting and such

  • Assist in prepping furniture prior to product reviews

  • Prepare agenda and formally document all product changes

  • Coordinate conference room resources

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor

     

 

Requirements:

  • Outstanding organizational skills

  • Strong verbal and written skills are a must

  • Ability to manage multiple project simultaneously and prioritize accordingly

  • Able to work in a fast-pace environment

  • Self-motivated and driven

  • Upholstered furniture industry experience is a plus

  • Must have the ability to work across functional teams

  • Strong computer skills

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.,)

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or at least 3 years on the job experience
