About Williams Sonoma DC – Sutter Street Manufacturing, Claremont NC

Sutter Street Manufacturing is a subsidiary of Williams-Sonoma, Inc. Our Sutter Street Manufacturing Facilities in NC, MS and CA are looking to hire hard-working and motivated associates to join our amazing manufacturing team! The ideal associate will possess previous furniture manufacturing experience, promote safety, and demonstrate teamwork. We are also willing to train motivated individuals looking to learn a trade that will lead to a satisfying and profitable career in home furnishings manufacturing and distribution.

The Accounting Associate IV position is located in Claremont, NC. This position is responsible for reviewing and correcting of inventory-related transactions associated with the receipt, cost and quantities with the AX system and the related variance analysis of inventory transactions.

You’ll be excited about this opportunity because you will:

Check out some of the required qualifications we are looking for in amazing candidates….

  • Review and compare inventory transactions in the AX system. Quantify and investigate discrepancies.
  • Complete data entry of changes to quantities in order for the plants to be able to process transactions timely when necessary.
  • Assist with plant cycle counts and physical inventories as directed as well as perform audits of counts when needed.
  • Work with floor personnel to resolve issues with inventory transactions in a timely manner.
  • Participate in meetings involving inventory issues and explain how transactions are impacting quantities and valuations.
  • Produce and distribute various reports using tools such as spreadsheet, database, query and report-writing software.

We prefer some of these qualities as well….

  • Inventory control or general accounting experience handling large transaction volumes a plus.
  • Strong systems and analytical skills.
  • Possess sound business judgment with the ability to work independently and think critically.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Able to analyze data and produce reports to assist operations. Willingness to learn new tasks.
  • strong attention to detail and customer service mindset.
