This position is responsible for quality control, inspecting and ensuring specification accuracy for built frames from external vending partners.

The Frame Auditor position is located in Claremont, NC.

You’ll be excited about this opportunity because you will....

  • Inspect overall appearance to include standing back and visually checking finished frame to assure specifications are met
  • Complete final inspection of frame to include, but not limited to, assuring that frames are square and level, with correct parts orientated to correct direction, and all parts flush to outside of frame, using a hammer and nails, staples and appropriately applied glue.  Must assure all parts are ground off level to result in as flush an outside edge as possible and that no staples are on outside of frame. 
  • Complete final inspection of sprung up materials in frame, check that no sag springs are pulled over the spring up clips.  Assure that fiber wire is attached to no sags.  Assure that Burlap or FLW is attached according to the spring up instructions.  Assure that the front edge rope is shot into place on frame.
  • After inspected and if repairs are needed, push back to builder to have it corrected.
  • Responsible for ensuring no incorrect frames leave vendor facility or go out onto the floor in production line.
  • Must sign each frame assembled that meets specifications.
  • Must report any incorrectly manufactured parts or parts of wrong size/shape to Ops. Manager for determining appropriate action to be taken.

  • Up to 5 years of experience in production of high-end upholstery frames and/or spring up
  • Experience in reading production tickets
  • Good analytical, and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Independent decision making/detail oriented
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to assure delivery requirements.
  • Ability to keep accurate records and follow documented procedures and standards.
  • Flexible work schedule with the ability to work offsite at vendor location(s) as needed.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work without supervision.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to push finished frames across the floor.
  • Ability to lift frames weighing approximately 100 lbs., stand for 10-hour periods.
