The General Operations Manager – Product Development position is located in Claremont, NC. This position is responsible for leading, managing, and collaborating with design, product development, merchandising and sourcing teams. Manage relationships between Sutter Manufacturing and Merchants to ensure all new products meet the design, quality and craftsmanship specified by design/merchant team.
You’ll be excited about this opportunity because you will:
· Collaborate with Research & Development team to coordinate all new upholstery development
· Lead all product reviews
· Evaluate Product Deck for sample reviews
· Drive timeline/lead-times for all new upholstery development
· Interface and provide guidance with engineering, manufacturing & customer service teams
· Authorize first samples before shipping to brand
· Develop SOP for Product Development Brand positions.
· Collaborate with manufacturing team to ensure product meets design direction
· Responsible for working closely with engineering to assist in the setup of new skus
· Work with Sutter’s fabric team to ensure new textiles and leathers are set up in system
· Interact with local suppliers to ensure materials meets brand specs
· Notify Sutter team of all seasonal timelines, discontinued products, fabrics & leathers, as well as other important information or changes made by brand
· Work with Quality Assurance Team to ensure issues are resolved on a timely manner
· Manage administrative of projects to ensure project success.
· Develop the analysis of efficient, cost-effective solutions that support client business processes and functional requirements.
· Perform variance analysis (E.G., schedules and changes to scope).
· Identify issues and project solutions and escalates as appropriate.
· Develop project policies, procedures, and communication plans with guidance.
· Analyze dates to validate client and functional requirements.
· Evaluate existing application projects that could address client requirements and develop recommendations where appropriate.
· Plan and execute pre-and post-implementation with assistance.
· Assists with or coordinates project risk assessment quantification, response planning and control.
· Develop user-training plan and strategy.
· Other responsibilities as assigned

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management
- 5 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated ongoing professional development in the field or project management.
- Knowledgeable about systems development processes and experience with CAD preferred.
