Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Company driver and warehouse associate. Works with the movement and storage of inventory at point of receipt within the warehouse and between various warehouses; including receiving, routing, staging, labeling, put away, restocking, and stock moves.   Completes customer orders including prepping, picking, packing, and manifesting. 

 

 PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

  • Driving duties include picking up and delivery of product from Sutter Street locations. As needed pick up supplies for facility.
  • Checking physical inventory against order invoice upon each delivery
  • Receive, route, deliver, restock, and stage incoming materials to appropriate locations to ensure high levels of system and physical inventory accuracy.
  • Operate warehouse equipment according to instructions and safety guidelines.
  • Verify picked orders using Bill of Materials and scanning system methods to accurately ensure that the physical items selected matches actual item selected.
  • Correctly label cartons externally with shipping and product information.
  • Verify that carton contents correctly match fulfillment labels.
  • Perform warehouse maintenance, such as recycling, sweeping, disposing waste, and other janitorial duties.
  • May be assigned to the Production or Shipping/Receiving Departments to satisfy customer demand.
  • Perform all work in a safe manner, obeying all traffic laws.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess a valid North Carolina Class C driver's license
  • Must possess a good driving record (background check to be completed)
  • One to three years of experience in warehousing, shipping, or receiving preferred.
  • Prior forklift and pallet jack experience required.  Must be able to pass standup forklift certification upon hire.
  • Prior experience as a commercial driver preferred.
  • Good knowledge of highways, map reading, sense of direction
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as required
  • Flexible schedule, as each day will end when the work is finished as needed.
  • Demonstrated initiative, ability to work independently, and a willingness to do whatever arises through the course of a work day
  • Medium level of English comprehension, reading, and speaking required.
  • Must be 21 years or older
