POSITION SUMMARY:

The Industrial Engineering team is responsible for leading and assisting in the utilization and maintenance of labor management systems, facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel to improve efficiency of operations.

 

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform time studies and data analysis to develop labor standards, make informed business decisions on "best practices" and measure labor utilization
  • Maintain and drive performance improvements through Manhattan Associates Labor Management System in both Distribution and Manufacturing environments
  • Conduct Training on the Labor Management and Incentive based pay programs
  • Assist in data entry and creation of daily/weekly management reports for cost analysis, financial planning, and Site/Department productivity
  • Participate in implementation of training programs for non-exempt employees as required to implement operational process improvements
  • Must have a general understanding of functional flow documents, organization charts, process flow charts, and project information/plans to determine functions and responsibilities of resources
  • Participates in special projects and other duties as assigned
 

QUALIFICATIONS:
 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or technically related field required
  • Minimum 3-5 years Industrial Engineering experience in a fast pace furniture manufacturing environment required
  • Minimum of 1-year labor management experience
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Excel, Projects, Word, PowerPoint and Visio
  • Project Management experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Quality Management experience
  • Process Management experience
  • Proficiency in WMS, Access and Manhattan's LMS
