Description

POSITION FUNCTION: Responsible for the review and correction of inventory-related transactions associated with the receipt, cost and quantities with the AX system and the related variance analysis of inventory transactions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Review and compare inventory transactions in the AX system. Quantify and investigate discrepancies.

  • Data entry of changes to quantities in order for the plants to be able to process transactions timely when necessary.

  • Assist with plant cycle counts and physical inventories as directed as well as perform audits of counts when needed.

  • Work with floor personnel to resolve issues with inventory transactions in a timely manner.

  • Participate in meetings involving inventory issues and explain how transactions are impacting quantities and valuations.

  • Produce and distribute various reports using tools such as spreadsheet, database, query and report-writing software.

  • Assist with monthly closing activities.

  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to work weekends and holidays when necessary.

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • 3 – 4 years accounting experience a preferred.

  • Associates degree in Accounting or related business field desired.

  • Inventory control or general accounting experience handling large transaction volumes a plus.

  • Strong systems and analytical skills.

  • Possess sound business judgment with the ability to work independently and think critically.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Able to analyze data and produce reports to assist operations. Willingness to learn new tasks.
