Warehouse Merch Processor/Material Handler Needed!

1st Shift Monday – Friday 6:00am-2:30pm or 7am-3:30pm

POSITION SUMMARY:

Working with operations management, leads, and team to ensure accurate receipt, audit, record keeping, and inventory integrity throughout the shipping process using a handheld RF scanner.

 

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

  • Flash furniture, UPS, and separate ship cartons

  • Plan and execute furniture loads

  • Ensure all cartons picked are taken to the proper location for outbound processing

  • Prepare, organize, stack and load cartons for DTX/HUB as projects are waved

  • Utilizing RF scanner to track all cartons and manifest UPS cartons as needed on the shipping floor

  • Daily shipping duties up to and including forklift operation on Pacer, Powered Pallet Jack, or other material handling equipment to take cartons to their designated outbound shipping doors

  • Segregation and movement of empty pallets, tier racks, pole racks, and trash to their designated areas during and at the end of shift

  • Safely and efficiently operate material handling tools and equipment

  • Keep work area safe, organized and clean according to general warehousing practices and OSHA requirements daily

  • Utilize Williams-Sonoma’s Mission, Vision, and Values to govern daily activities while maintaining required accuracy percentages, productivity (if required), and quality standards

  • Other duties as deemed necessary
     

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Excellent attendance and willingness to be part of a team – performing whatever duties are necessary

  • Job requires continuous physical exertion – walking, bending, lifting, standing, climbing – must be able to lift 65 pounds minimum with or without accommodation

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Ability to multitask and be extremely detailed while performing all tasks

  • Ability to do basic math – addition, multiplication, subtraction and division

  • Ability to learn warehouse management system functions (PKMS)

  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, ability to work under pressure, and be a fast learner

  • Flexible to work overtime as required
