  • Over 4,000 Full-Time Associates across the Supply Chain
  • 14.5M square feet of small parcel, personalization, furniture, and manufacturing space in the domestic US, Williams-Sonoma has developed an agile and capable distribution network consisting of the following:
    • Large package / furniture distribution centers located in Southern California, Northern California, Texas, Georgia, and New Jersey totaling 9.2M square feet plus another 1.2M square feet of standalone final-mile furniture hubs.

This position is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment in the fabric cutting and cutting staging areas. Work collaboratively by facilitating the workflow between departments and accurately managing inventory and tracking.
 

The Cutting Utility position is located in Claremont, NC.


You'll be excited about this opportunity because you will....

  • Ensure that the scrap fabric containers are regularly emptied into the fabric bailer and keeping it bailed in a timely manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness by sweeping floors in the fabric cutting areas and ensuring that the areas are maintained in a safe and orderly working environment.
  • Process incoming leather shipments and verifying accuracy against the packing slip and the received square footage.    
  • Facilitating the transfer of materials between the sewing department to the shipping department while maintaining an organized workflow.
  • Ensuring accurate tracking and inventory management. Tag and scan leather hides to designated locations on a metal leather horse using a wireless scanner.
  • Timely and accurate delivery of boxed slipcovers from the sewing department to the shipping department in preparation for shipment.

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to multitask and be extremely detail oriented.
  • Must have prior experience operating a forklift.
