Facilities Technician Needed! Direct Hire!

1st Shift Hours: Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm

POSITION SUMMARY:

Working with operations management, leads, and team to maintain all facility equipment in working order and react to all down equipment with urgency and safety.

 

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide preventative maintenance responsibility on all relevant facility equipment
  • Provide maintenance support to operations for all material handling equipment, batteries, battery changer, Bailer equipment, racking, lighting, dock doors/levelers, HVAC, and other facility related tasks as required
  • Work under limited supervision to complete tasks and/or coordinate the documented efforts of a vendor for necessary PM’s
  • Safety must impact all daily decisions and be a top priority for all facility related functions
  • Safely and efficiently operate material handling tools and equipment, when required
  • Keep work area safe, organized and clean according to general warehousing practices and OSHA requirements daily
  • Utilize Williams-Sonoma’s Mission, Vision, and Values to govern daily activities while maintaining required accuracy percentages, productivity (if required), and quality standards
  • Other duties as deemed necessary

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent attendance and willingness to be part of a team – performing whatever duties are necessary
  • Job requires continuous physical exertion – walking, bending, lifting, standing, climbing – must be able to lift 65 pounds minimum with or without accommodation
  • Must be able to repair and replace overhead lighting lamps/ballasts and bulbs
  • Strong knowledge of conveyors, dock doors/levelers, HVAC, basic carpentry/handy man work, and electrical systems
  • Strong working knowledge of belted conveyor systems and manual divert H-K sortation system AC/DC motors and motor controls, 3 phase 480VAC and 24VDC circuits
  • Strong working knowledge of Bailers, extinguishers, eyewash stations, office areas, and bollards
  • Strong Organization and Delegation skills are required
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, ability to work under pressure, and be a fast learner
  • Excellent attendance, and willingness to be part of a team - performing whatever duties are necessary
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills necessary (English)
  • Strong decision making, time management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and be extremely detailed while performing all tasks and reports
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, ability to work under pressure, and be a fast learner
  • Flexible to work overtime as required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Maintenance and repair experience with 3 phase 480 VAC wiring, DC/AC motor controls
  • Maintenance and repair experience with material handling systems and programmable controllers
  • Maintenance and repair experience with electronic controls, as well as electric motors of various sizes
