POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide general maintenance and fabrication duties throughout furniture maintenance plant and facility and maintain PMs throughout the plant
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
- Perform facility maintenance on equipment throughout the facility.
- Provide preventative maintenance of fire extinguishers, lighting, HVAC equipment, filters, and other misc. manufacturing facility equipment.
- Complete basic construction and fabrication projects as needed in facility
- Good attention to detail and ability to work with hands
- Maintain a clean organized work area throughout the shift
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 3 years experience in maintenance in an upholstered furniture or manufacturing environment
- Good working knowledge of all types of maintenance related power tools
- Welding and electrical certifications current and verifiable
- OSHA training certifications are plus
- LOTO certification required
- Excellent time-management skills including ability to work independently with little supervision
- Must be able to read a tape measure and perform accurate measurements
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 75lbs
- Ability to sit or stand for 12-hour periods and bend and twist at waist and knees as required
- Must be willing to be licensed and certified to operate power lift equipment
- Must adhere to safety policy using all necessary protective equipment
- Understanding of basic construction and electrical techniques and applications
