The Zipper Sewer position is located in Claremont, NC This position is responsible for sewing zippers.

You’ll be excited about this opportunity because you will:

  • Obtain work from prep table, including the entire cushion sew package.
  • Completes both the zipper and the border operation on each piece.
  • Adheres to established sewing standards, including: ½” seams, sewing is straight and in alignment with cover pattern, assure there are no drop stitches, sew in tabs correctly, assure border is running straight through the border machine, pull all borders to assure borders are straight and the welt is even throughout the border.
  • After sewing and properly pulling the border, place the cover back into the bundle and place bundle in its proper place on the staging table.

Check out some of the required qualifications we are looking for in amazing candidates….

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Up to 5 years of experience in production of upper-end upholstery fabric sewing in an upholstered furniture manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in reading and understanding production tickets and ability to interpret simple sewing instructions commonly placed in a sewing manual.
