POSITION SUMMARY:
Manage the day to day activities of the maintenance organization, make sure equipment availability exceeds 99% at all times as it pertains to material handling and facility related equipment; take care of employee relations, set expectations and goals of the group and specifically on an individual basis; make necessary purchases and monitor the service contract business; make sure budget compliance occurs and we get the lowest possible price for all goods and services purchased; provide trouble-shooting techniques and participate on the floor in addressing equipment issues; make sound decisions as it pertains to equipment related malfunctions and provide direction to team when needed; provide input on capital expense projects and provide input on various system changes; communicate and follow-up with various operation managers; oversee safety programs established and ensure proper training and techniques are used; resolve and handle all employee related issues which includes discipline, hiring, and termination, if approved.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
- Manage a team and demonstrate excellent communication, inclusiveness and collaboration skills
- Provide leadership, direction, training and guidance to associates

- Manage the productivity, accuracy and efficiency of the distribution staff
- Meet all required metrics and setting new standards as the operation progresses
- Drive continuous improvement and customer service
- Manage third party relationships with the delivery provider and all performance metrics of the operation
- Develop plans and execute successfully to ensure KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) are met pertaining to safety, service, cost and inventory integrity
- Maintain associate records including attendance and performance
- Requires a considerable level of independence to accomplish objectives and projects
- Must have the ability to hold self and others accountable in a fast-paced distribution or manufacturing environment
- Assist with senior management in the design implementation and project rollouts
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2-year Associate Degree
- 8-11 years in an industrial maintenance environment
- 5-7 years supervisory experience in an industrial maintenance environment or in distribution
- Electrical and mechanical knowledge including hands-on experience
- Computer literate
- PLC understanding
- Controls Experience
- Able to read blueprints and diagrams
- Experience with forklifts and hand tools
- Able to constantly stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse
- Able to lift 75 pounds occasionally during the shift.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
4-year Bachelor’s degree
