Position Overview:

There are two shifts available for this position:

Tuesday - Saturday, 6am - 2:30pm
Sunday - Thursday, 12:30pm - 9pm

Position Summary:
  • Expected to rotate between departments for an extended period of time
  • Will train and lead a team of associates to achieve operational KPIs
  • Work cooperatively with internal and external business partners and customers in accordance with the Company’s mission, vision, and values
  • Help maintain a clean and safe work environment by communicating daily/weekly goals, and share successes, opportunities for improvement and best practices with team
  • Research and resolve issues and provide feedback on operations, processes, and associate performance
  • Ensure consistency as we cross train our team

Primary Functions:
  • Lead picking, shuttling, running, and loading in 230 building
  • Cover multiple departments and collaborate well with your team
  • Responsible for maintaining a safety oriented culture
  • Communicate unsafe conditions and identify potentially dangerous behavior
  • Work closely with safety team and managers to ensure safety is our most important metric
  • Be a role model to other associates
  • Ensure processes are documented and followed
  • Create process flows and work instructions for the operators
  • Audit entire teams to ensure process adherence and report the accuracy of each process
  • Communicate standard processes to all associates, daily goals, tracking progress, communicating challenges, deploying resources, and requesting support from managers
  • Work closely with managers to ensure service checks demonstrate consistency across all processes and provide feedback to the managers regarding team performance
  • Understand how each department impacts the overall performance of the business
  • Train and audit processes to ensure consistency
  • Take on project oriented work to train on process control, safety topics, and work instructions
  • Communicate in a professional and timely manner
  • Brief team and lead star-up meetings
  • Inspire the team, be a true leader by example and recognize associates effectively
  • Monitor the flow of work
  • Track and communicate daily targets to Ops Managers and the team
  • Monitor the flow of work continued
  • Work closely with Ops Managers to identify constraints and adjust resources
  • Communicate with peer group to track daily performance of the Big Team and adjust accordingly

Qualifications:
  • Ability to succeed in a fast paced and dynamic work environment
  • MHE Certification preferred
  • Multitask and be extremely detailed on all written and communication/documentation, including email etiquette
  • Time management and multitasking skills to meet established deadline
  • Intermediate computer skills using MS Office Suite; previous experience with AS400 WMS software preferred
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, ability to work under pressure, and be a fast learner
  • Ability to safety lift 75 pounds throughout the day
  • Strong analytical skills and an innovative problem solver
  • Excellent attendance and willingness to be a part of a team – performing whatever duties are necessary
  • Utilize the Company’s Mission, Vision, and Values to govern daily activities, including guidance to other associates and departments
