REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
Establish and promote hard work ethics through teamwork and collaboration with associates.
Utilize Williams Sonoma’s Mission, Vision, and Values to govern daily activities, including guidance to other associates and departments.
Solicit opinions of team members on departmental operations in an effort to maximize productivity and quality objectives.
Share business information with teammates through floor presence, suggest improvements to current techniques.
Promote safety awareness and cultivate the safety culture through the company. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by communicating safety topics and conducting safety audits.
Works cooperatively and harmoniously with manager, co-workers, and others.
Train and direct a team of associates to achieve departmental and division production goals.
Control the workflow on the floor to include prioritizing team goals to ensure that deadlines are met.
Track productivity, research and resolve issues, provide feedback on productivity and quality related performance to teammates, peers and manager by using departmental resources.
Coordinate team assignments by balancing resources as the volume requires.
Provide training, productivity reporting, and feedback to any errors made by staff on a daily basis.
Daily start-up meeting and communication of daily/weekly goals for department.
Work with the Ops Manager for specific service metrics related to safety, service, quality and cost.
Lead staffs to ensure effectiveness and productivity metrics are met.
- Lead and guide to associates in the department, keeping Williams Sonoma’s mission, vision and values in mind.
- Lead the 2nd Shift team at night to ensure that the group is being efficient and productive performing their tasks
- Ensure the cancellations process, picking process, audit process, and putaway process is being followed, executed and reconciled, along with ensuring the builders and shop techs are completing their assigned work.
- Ensure proper reporting processes are followed and tasks are delegated appropriately with an emphasis on maintaining inventory accuracy. Ensure all trucks are waved, including QDA, and issues report ran, problem solving customer orders.
- Ensure the manifests, builder lists, shop tech lists, and the checklist is completed accurately and ready for the next day operation. Ensuring all tasks are reconciled, all lines audited for a smooth load out, and the trucks pre-billed.
- Conduct inventory research to determine invalid inventory throughout the hub and execute inventory purges properly ensuring all cases are processed. Conduct research on various quality issues brought up by the team, and report on the root cause to management and the QA dept, adding any deficiencies found to the DTS database.
- Work with call center and shop team to ensure all quality inspections and escalations are completed and followed up on in a timely manner.
- Must be willing to work overtime with little to no notice as needed.

High school diploma or equivalent and 1 year of experience in distribution, manufacturing or retail environment. In lieu of distribution, manufacturing or retail environment experience, 5 years of progressive work experience.
1 year of experience working with a warehouse management system, previous forklift experience desired.
Proficiency in working with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook.
Ability to multitask and be extremely detailed while performing all tasks and reports.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, ability to work under pressure, and be a fast learner.
- Availability to work full time schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays, etc.
- Excellent attendance, and willingness to be part of a team - performing what ever duties are necessary.
- Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and via email.
- Extensive knowledge with AS400
- Ability to succeed in a fast paced and dynamic work environment.
- Time management and multitasking skills to meet established deadlines.
- Able to lift at least 75 pounds safely.
