The Industrial Electrician II position is located in Claremont, NC. This position is responsible for ensuring that all facets of building maintenance are taken care of by performing preventative and corrective maintenance.

You’ll be excited about this opportunity because....

  • Monitor, maintain and perform minor repairs, maintenance, and improvements.
  • Read, interpret, and implement work orders
  • Ability to use a CMMS (work order) system
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally, written, and in e-mail
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Safety minded in all work performed
  • Ability to problem solve/ troubleshoot and understand resources to accomplish tasks
  • Capable of gathering needed materials to complete repairs/work orders.
  • Accurately track and store the departments inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment
  • Supporting continuous improvement within all departments
  • Flexibility with work hours and days. (24 hour by 7 days a week operation, including holidays)
  • Ability to drive (PID) Powered Industrial Trucks inclusive of people movers and forklifts.
    • Will be required to take WSI certification and pass.
  • Assess and resolve a wide array of maintenance issues on-site.
    • Strong Electrical knowledge
    • Lighting both interior and exterior.
    • Understanding of controls
    • Welding
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and industrial equipment.
  • Awareness of national, state, and local electrical codes and regulations.
  • Motivated self-starter who can manage projects and make decisions.
  • Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and other technical documents.
  • Perform preventative maintenance task using tools and equipment.
  • Lead, plan, and execute electrical repairs
  • Assists other Maintenance Technicians
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • At least (10) years’ experience working in electrical maintenance/ construction field or trade schooling equivalent and Journeyman license or higher
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and industrial equipment.
  • Awareness of national, state, and local electrical codes and regulations.
  • Motivated self-starter who can manage projects and make decisions.
  • Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and other technical documents.
  • Willing to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lift heavy objects, climbing ladders, crawling, etc…

We prefer some of these qualities as well….

  • Trade school or equivalent

  • May need to crawl, climb, and stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to operate tools in close proximity to electrical components
