The sewing supply associate will be responsible for the fair and timely distribution of cut kits to the sewing operator stations based on departmental schedule, needs, and kit availability from the cutting department. The supply person will also remove sewn kits and stage these for further processing through sewing inspection. In the event of a shortage of kits or due to absenteeism, the supply person may on occasion be moved to the sewing inspection area as needed. The primary area of focus for this position is the sewing area on the weekday shift.

The Sewing Supply position is located in Booneville, Ms.

  • Practice safe work practices and demonstrate safe work habits to the workforce and adhere to the Personal Protective Equipment standards of the company throughout the facility.
  • Always adhere to the policies of Williams-Sonoma while performing any duties as assigned with a positive attitude and willing spirit to assist others in the department, facility, and the organization. Always acting with professional courtesy and the highest integrity.
  • Review the sewing schedule and coordinate with operations and department leadership the cell distribution plan based on the schedule and availability of kits from the cutting department.
  • Candidate will organize all cut kit materials and stage the components at sewing tabled for sewing operators to complete further processing. Proper scanning of tickets is a must to ensure kits are scanned to the operation for processing.
  • The associate will load kits onto carts and push the loaded carts to the sewing tables distribution.
  • Once sewn kits are completed, the supplier will scan, load, and move the sewn kits to sewing inspection for further processing.
  • Track kits and tickets to ensure pieces are available while working closely with department leadership, sewing operators and inspectors.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of basic Inventory control principals and report any inventory discrepancies to supervisors or operations leadership immediately.


Check out some of the required qualifications we are looking for in amazing candidates….

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent. 
  • At least 1 year of experience in a sewing operation in an upholstered furniture manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to read and understand departmental schedules in English.
  • Ability to use a hand-held scanner. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively as a team with other associates and managers. 
  • Possess excellent time-management skills including ability to work independently with little supervision and strong sense of urgency.

We prefer some of these qualities as well…. 

  • Experience in the use of the Microsoft office suite and some computer skills.
  • Bilingual, English and Spanish.

Review these physical requirements, as they play a major part in this role….

  • Ability to lift and or push/pull 50 lbs. regularly and occasionally up to 60 lbs.
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time up to 10 hours shift.
  • Ability to distinguish colors and recognize cover patterns.
