Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for managing our Global export business as well as the daily execution of international air freight activities. This role will require interaction with 3rd party vendors, Global internal customers, DC’s, Stores, Corporate Brand teams, and Accounts Payable.

 

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for daily execution of our global export distribution facilities

  • Responsible for daily execution of international air ($15M freight budget)

  • Responsible for driving metrics and KPI improvement

  • Lead cross functional conference calls with external transportation partners and internal customers

  • Act as a primary point of contact for all transportation related issues & resolution

  • Analyze, manage, and present data to VP, SVP, and EVP levels

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics or Engineering

  • Distribution and/or transportation operational experience

  • Proficiency with Microsoft office applications

  • Strong leadership, communication and inter-personal skills

  • Creative problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated ability to build and cultivate strong business relationships

  • Strong financial acumen

  • 10% - 20% travel, as needed

  • Experience with report development using business intelligence software (QlikView, Crystal Reports, Access etc.)

  • Must be highly organized and process oriented

  • Ability to complete multiple tasks consistently and on time

  • Ability to adapt and change processes to keep pace with the evolving business requirements

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MBA Degree

  • Ability to write SQL / VBA

  • Experience negotiating and administering contracts
    Previous Experience in a Transportation Role or Transportation Industry
