The Packing position is located in Claremont, NC.
You’ll be excited about this opportunity because you will....
- Assure the ticket matches the piece of furniture before preparing for packing.
- Check over the piece to assure there is no visible damage and nothing is missing.
- Keep the piece clean, damage-free and protect legs on the piece when moving around on the floor, hoisting on the lift and conveyor.
- Pack piece according to established standards – usually consisting of solid tray, interpack with double lining, end caps for one end, foam rail floaters, and clear shrink bag.
- Flexibility to move to different areas of plant as required and perform other functions as necessary.

- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- At least 3 years’ of experience in wrapping and shipping department with specific experience in an upholstered furniture manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience using computers for tracking and updating kit location for customer service.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to assure delivery requirements.
- Good communication skills – oral and written.
- Ability to keep accurate records and follow documented procedures and standards.
- Excellent time-management skills, including ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Ability to work professionally with upholsterers and trimmers on issues.

- Ability to frequently lift bundles of approximately 50-75 lbs.
- Ability to bend and twist.
- Ability to bend and twist as required in moving/loading furniture.
- Ability to push finished furniture across the floor.
