Starting salary at $72,000 PLUS Sign-on Bonus!

 


Ideal candidates will have a current/valid CDL - Class A with 2 years proven experience and electronic logging device experience is preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Do you love driving a truck but hate the nights spent away from home? You might flourish in our open local truck driver positions. We're looking for safe, courteous, experienced intra-state CDL drivers to operate interchangeable, pre-loaded, medium swap-duty trucks to haul big loads and value a predictable schedule. Our company makes safety our number one priority, which is reflected in our impeccable safety records. We pay bi-weekly and offer PTO, medical, dental, vision coverage, and 401K matching.


PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

  • Use ELD to track all off-duty, working, and driving time
  • Manage routes and routines so they proceed in the most efficient way possible
  • Find ways to conserve resources, including fuel, to benefit the business
  • Serve as a brand advocate and ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public
  • Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle at the beginning and end of the shift and report any problems or damage to management
  • Comply with all DOT and in-house regulations and rules
  • Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned vehicle
  • Drive vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of 26,001 lbs. or more.
  • Pick-up and safely transport goods to intended destination
  • Ensure contents are properly secured in truck to prevent damage/injury
  • Obtain signatures to confirm and complete deliveries
  • Stay on predetermined route and ensure timely transport and delivery
  • Communicate with dispatch as needed
  • Always ensure your vehicle is kept clean
  • Notify management of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered
  • Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs
  • Adhere to company rules and regulations
  • Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive in according to the weather/road conditions
  • Make safety a priority at all times


CDL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid CDL “A” driver’s license
  • Valid DOT medical card
  • Meet or exceed the medical standards of the U.S. Department of Transportation
  • Understanding of DOT regulations
  • Good driving record with no serious tickets or accidents in last 5 years
  • No DWI/DUI in last 7 years
  • 2+ years proven experience in commercial truck driving preferred
  • Skilled at driving and parking large, heavy vehicles
  • Good knowledge of highways, map reading, sense of direction
  • Basic math skills
  • Good communication skills and friendly, professional manner
  • Honesty and pride in workmanship
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Must pass background check and drug test and maintain DOT eligibility while employed
  • Alert, focused, and detail-oriented
