The Dish:
Our Southeast Distribution Center is seeking to add a DC Admin Assistant with a focus on teamwork and customer service to our menu.
The Distribution Center opened in April 2016 and is still adding new team members as we grow.

We handle mostly furniture at this location and operate a Home Delivery Team out of the facility as well
The position is non-exempt, 1st Shift Monday-Friday 6AM-2:30PM


Main Ingredients:

  • • Establish and promote hard work ethics through teamwork and collaboration with associates.
  • • Utilize Williams Sonoma's Mission, Vision, and Values to govern daily activities, including guidance to other associates and departments.
  • • Promote safety awareness and cultivate the safety culture throughout the company. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by communicating safety topics and conducting safety audits.
  • • Works cooperatively and harmoniously with supervisor, co-workers, and others.
  • • Track productivity, research and resolve issues, provide feedback on productivity and quality related performance to teammates, peers and manager by using departmental resources.
  • • Willingness to be part of a team - performing other duties as necessary.
  • • Ability to multitask and be extremely detailed while performing all tasks and reports.
  • • Process returns, which includes customer contact by phone or correspondence as well as contact with other departments within the Company.
  • • Coordinate and resolve QA issues by communicating with the Distribution Center.
  • • Coordinate & resolve partial replacement issues by communicating with Inventory Management, the Distribution Center and Care Centers.
  • • Review and resolve customer correspondence by calling or writing customers and researching/obtaining information from other departments within the Company.
  • • Review action line reports to identify customer service trends.
  • • Assist in processing product information.
  • • Conduct root cause analysis of customer returns by reviewing product in the warehouse.
  • • Complete other duties and projects as assigned.
  • Train others on daily work assignments when needed
  • Must have good attendance and be a team player
  • Other duties as assigned

Appetizers:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Comfortable elevating on an order picker 5 stories up
  • Comfortable walking/standing 90% of the day
  • Basic knowledge of Receiving, Replenishment, Picking, Shipping, Inventory Control, Profiling, and Waving
  • Certified to operate an Order Picker, Reach Truck (Raymond Brand)
  • Have working knowledge of Excel, PKMS, RF scanners , and AS400.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook)
  • Knowledge of basic math (addition and subtraction)
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Available to work overtime and flexible schedules
  • Heavy lifting up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
