The Gerber Operator position is located in Claremont, NC. This position is responsible for removing, labeling, and sorting cut fabric pieces from the automated cutting machine.
 

You’ll be excited about this opportunity because you will:

  • Check that correct fabric is brought out and check for shade variations and any other defects prior to cutting.
  • Be responsible for straightness, fabric repeat issues and other issues related to correct fabric appearance on the finished piece.
  • Be responsible for spreading and cutting fabric in the most economical way.
  • Tagging and separating the cover for distribution to sewing department.
  • Other duties assigned by manager. 

Check out some of the required qualifications we are looking for in amazing candidates….

  • Up to 5 years of experience in fabric cutting for upper end upholstered furniture.
  • Experience reading and understanding production tickets.
  • Ability to interpret simple cutting instructions commonly placed in a cutting manual.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to assure delivery requirements.
