SUPPLY CHAIN INTERNAL JOB BID ALERT

Post Date: 5/28/2026 NOON EST   End Date: 6/4/2026 NOON EST
 

Associates are required to bid for job openings only during the specified time frame mentioned above. No exceptions will be made.

TO BID: WSI Associates must complete the Job Bid Application. No interview required. Associates must be in overall good standing (AMS / PN’s) and must maintain good standing throughout the bidding/ hiring process. Selection criteria is based on seniority.

The Packing position is located in Claremont, NC

You’ll be excited about this opportunity because you will....  

  • Assure the ticket matches the piece of furniture before preparing for packing. 
  • Check over the piece to ensure there is no visible damage and nothing is missing. 
  • Keep the piece clean, damage-free and protect legs on the piece when moving around on the floor, hoisting on the lift and conveyor. 
  • Pack piece according to established standards – usually consisting of solid tray, interpack with double lining, foam corner protectors, and clear shrink bag. 

Note: This job description reflects essential functions, it does not prescribe or restrict the number or types of tasks that may be assigned or reassigned during the conduct of business. 

 
Check out some of the required qualifications we are looking for in amazing candidates…. 

  • At least 3 years’ experience in the wrapping and shipping department with specific experience in an upholstered furniture manufacturing environment preferred.  
  • Safely operate a forklift to transport materials (preferred). 
  • Ability to keep accurate records and follow documented procedures and standards. 
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to assure delivery requirements. 
  • Good communication skills – oral and written. 
  • Excellent time-management skills, including the ability to work independently with little supervision. 
  • Ability to work professionally with other departments to resolve issues. 

We prefer some of these qualities as well….  

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.  

Review these physical requirements, as they play a major part in this role…. 

  • Ability to frequently lift bundles of approximately 50-75 lbs.  
  • Ability to bend and twist as required in moving/loading furniture. 
  • Ability to push finished furniture across the floor.
