SUPPLY CHAIN INTERNAL JOB BID ALERT

Associates are required to bid for job openings only during the specified time frame mentioned above. No exceptions will be made.

TO BID: WSI Associates must complete the Job Bid Application. No interview required. Associates must be in overall good standing (AMS / PN’s) and must maintain good standing throughout the bidding/ hiring process. Selection criteria is based on seniority.


The Line Supply sets up assembly areas and ensures all parts needed to build the product are available. This position requires a proactive approach through looking ahead and insuring there are no delays in building the product.

 

The Line Supply (Weekday) position is located in Booneville, MS. 

 

You’ll be excited about this opportunity because you will.... 

  • Practice safe work practices and demonstrate safe work habits to the workforce and adhere to the Personal Protective Equipment standards of the company throughout the facility.
  • Adhere to the policies of WSI while performing any duties as assigned with a positive attitude and willing spirit to assist others in the department, facility, and the organization. Always acting with professional courtesy and the highest integrity.
  • Organizes all materials and puts components in place for the upholstery department to build up the piece.
  • Pushes build kits to the staging area on the floor for upholsterer to take to the workstation.
  • Checks for accuracy and ensures all pieces of kit are from the same ticket.
  • Tracks kits and tickets to ensure pieces are with the correct furniture frame.
  • Manage old orders and ensure that proper communication of what is needed is conveyed to the supervisor.
  • Submit, expedite, and locate repairs for the cell.


Check out some of the required qualifications we are looking for in amazing candidates….

  • At least 1 year of experience in line supply of an upholstered furniture manufacturing environment. 
  • Experience using computers for tracking and updating kit location for customer service.  
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to assure delivery requirements. 
  • Good communication – both oral and written. 
  • Ability to keep accurate records and follow documented procedures and standards.
  • Excellent time-keeping skills, including ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Ability to communicate with upholsterers and trimmers on issues related to furniture building.
  • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively as a team with other associates and managers.
  • Have a strong sense of urgency and time management to meet established deadlines.


We prefer some of these qualities as well…. 

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Bilingual, English and Spanish.
 

Review these physical requirements, as they play a major part in this role…. 

  • Ability to stand for up to 12-hour periods.
  • Ability to frequently lift objects weighing 60 lbs.
  • Ability to bend and twist as required in moving furniture.
  • Ability to push finished furniture across the floor.
